Take the Mic respects your privacy. We collect only the information needed to run our programs and communicate with our community — such as names and email addresses submitted through our forms. We never sell or share your data with third parties for marketing. Contact information from forms is used solely to respond to inquiries and share relevant updates. If you'd like your data removed, reach out through our Get Involved page and we'll honor that request promptly.

The safety of the students we serve is our highest priority. All volunteers and chapter leaders are expected to follow common-sense safeguarding practices: no one-on-one private contact with minors, transparent communication through approved channels, and immediate reporting of any concern. We're building formal background-check and training requirements for chapter leaders and will update this policy as those are finalized.
